Religion and Faith

Joyce Meyer Ministries

Jesus didn’t die so we could have a religion. He died so we could have a relationship with Him.

Thank you, Joyce, for making it clear that there is a basic difference between religion and being a real Christian. A religion is a set of ritual observances and a set of rules agreed upon by a sect. Christianity is more than that because it is truly about our relationship with Jesus. I will meditate on Joyce’s words deeply because they explain why there is so much conflict in the world today between religions. Many of the wars in the world today are in the name of religion. People are misguided and hard-lined because we should live our lives in the name of the Lord instead of in the name of a religion.

About ferdieWerdie

Please click "Follow" to Subscribe/Follow my posts in order to receive an e-mail notice when I post new articles. Plus, I will write stuff that you suggest or like. What I am doing with the posts on my FerdieWerdie Gazette is: listening for the voice of the Lord and seeking the face of Jesus. What I hear in my journey, I will also write about. What guides me in this journey and what I propose for you to do is: Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage ..for He shall strengthen thy heart!
