In Re: to My words about the current state of affairs universally, I firstly posted a picture at the link below for you to relate to before you read my words of concern. I promised some of y’all to explain what is on my mind. My brother asked if cutting my grass was on my mind. Too funny! I said last season at this link that I had given up on the #PELICANS, but I see the new coach is playing Zion Williamson much more wisely this season. I might give them #ONE_MORE_CHANCE. Meanwhile, I am not mad with the new coaching system. All of that ugly news had my head spinning. Sometimes, I have to say something about the air waves beatimg our brains out.

To explain a little bit about the Delery Media Group: Based in New Orleans, the Delery Media Group believes that even the voices crying in the wilderness count for big things in the eyes of the Lord. Morgus the Magnificent

I shot a video of the song MARIA from WEST SIDE STORY.  I’m trying to post it up right here, but I am having troubles finding it in my files. So, I posted here the video of the movie scene which is the same stuff I had copied from my TV screen.  I had some words that I wanted to say about the video and about the movie.  It came on this morning while I was just resting up and so I watched it. I have seen both of the films several times… the one made in the 50s and the newer one. I’ve seen both of them.

Meanwhile, I had posted the video below just to explain what is happening with my clip. Ooops! I posted (how?) a different video again anyway. This video shows my grandson speaking at his high school graduation. He was the valedictorian of his school and is giving his valedictorian speech in this video. I am going off right now to see where I saved the video of Maria. Then, I will post it right here.  Thank you!

Only in New Orleans! I did not know if Morgus the Magnificent is still alive or not. I was a kid when his show premiered in New Orleans. The actor must be a million years old now. I did not know who he was (neither did his own children) b/c he only revealed himself 50 years after the premiere. I thought that he was a local TV newscaster; but he was a local DJ on WWL-AM radio. Anyway, Morgus found the COVID-19 cure. It is 100% crawfish boil. Hahaha… Well, I am safe b/c 99% of my blood is pure crawfish boil.

Also… LATE BREAKING:
The Marguso crack research team has just revealed that the New Orleans genius scientist Morgus The Magnificent’s top experimental guinea pig Chopsley is actually Donald Trump. After years of experimentation Morgus got it almost right but needed a few more minor adjustments. Surprisingly Chopsley (Donald Trump) was able to fool most uneducated voters and become president of the United States 🇺🇸

My #ex-wife picked me up again this morning to shop on Claiborne Ave. They have been cooking seafood often by my daughter. Lil’ Red occasionally calls me to see if I want to get something at the seafood place too when she goes. They are cooking shrimp stew today by my daughter’s house; the grandkids love it. I bought a medium shrimp po’ boy (yes, that is the medium) and a shrimp and broccoli plate for my lonely house. Last time, the gumbo was too peppery for me. I used to eat often by the grandkids; but my daughter, Kiana, is mad with me now. I guess I spoiled her too much as a child. I am banned and exiled from her house. So, I eat okay at my own house… not the same though.

 For many years I have believed that Jesus was sent to do his work when he did because there were no electronic
recording methods at the time. Jesus’ spiritual message (I have always believed) was so potent and much more spi-
ritual because no electronic devices existed that could have recorded him. Here’s an example:

Lolita

My #ex-wife picked me up again this morning to shop on Claiborne Ave. They have been cooking seafood often by my daughter. Lil’ Red occasionally calls me to see if I want to get something at the seafood place too when she goes. They are cooking shrimp stew today by my daughter’s house; the grandkids love it. Did you see the movie LOLITA? Young actress, Sue Lyon, won the GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD for new star of the year. In this 1962 film which also starred Shelly Winters, James Mason and Peter Sellers, Lyon haunts James Mason’s character with her beauty. This movie is long before the “ME TOO” movement and skirts the edges of pedophilia because, I guess, it is listed as a comedy and a drama. I am surprised that it made the screens in 1962, or even is still shown today. I did not get the movie’s toying with pedophilia in such an open way.

Teddy $30M

Birdman

QB Arch Manning, Archie Manning’s grandson, stands to make $10 million straight out of high school before he even takes his first snap in college. Arch Manning, senior at Newman High School in New Orleans, is the subject of a bidding war between Alabama, Georgia, and Texas — at least — which will probably culminate in him making over $10 million guaranteed before he takes his first college snap. The new law says that college athletes can earn money now from their talents and naming rights. Finally!!

One guy on my job thought that my name was Birdman. He called me Birdman for years which I thought he was saying as a nickname. On different jobs throughout the years, people have called me nicknames or different variations of my name. I always looked at it as affection from my friends. In fact, I have had fabulous nicknames. My grandfather called me Ferdie Werdie since I was a toddler. That nickname has stuck until today.

“Sometimes Nothin Can Be A Real Cool Hand!”

“What you got here is a failure to communicate,” the captain once said. This video below is an iconic scene in movie history. The guy in the video is a real “cool hand” person; his name is Cool Hand Luke.

In the movie COOL HAND LUKE, Paul Newman elicited one of my favorite mottos about having “a real cool hand.” He was nominated for the 1968 best actor Oscar for his role, but lost to Rod Steiger for the movie IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT. Newman won 3 Oscars (1986, 1987, 1994), but COOL HAND LUKE is my personal favorite of his characters.

Maria Bello is one of my favorite actresses. Her movie THE COOLER is among my list of favorite movies which I can view and enjoy more than once on an occasional basis.

Sometimes “nothing” can be a real cool hand. Do you “get it”? Sometimes what is more important is the way you play your hand. I kinda’ like that quote. I am often at social affairs where some of the attendees think that they are so “up there,” so important and above the fray that they are god-like. Meanwhile, little ol’ me might be holding no cards of value (nothing) at the scene; but I am ultimately the one holding the winning, real cool hand in the end. Now that I explained the “cool hand” a little bit more, I re-posted the video here.
