Larry King tweeted his take of the Bond….James Bond movie below. Like Larry King, I could tell the difference in the feel of the story too. Still “Bond” and still very good, even though the storyline for this movie was not from an Ian Fleming novel. It is an original screenplay and collaboration by three screenwriters. I’ve read all of the Ian Fleming books. I know the Fleming style. The Bond franchise opted for an original story this time. Now and in the future, the Bond franchise can either remake one of the old movies from Ian Fleming’s novels (Fleming died in 1964) or write an original screenplay. Either choice is fine. This new movie is very refreshing. I believe that Ian Fleming who partly based Bond on himself had certain personal rules about “his” Bond when he wrote the novels. Every artist has his own style. For instance: I know that I am watching a Quentin Tarantino work even if no one tells me the producer’s name upfront. Similar to the works of Tyler Perry, Alfred Hitchcock, Leonardo da Vinci, etc.

This new Bond movie is totally James Bond, but I could feel the little differences as I watched. It is a great script with some new twists and action. Plus, with the IMAX experience, I was loving it. The music sounded so good that I felt like I was live at the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Per the Supremes, I thought: I hear a Symphony!
