Fine Interviews: Jennifer Hale

Jennifer Hale

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — I replied with a tweet to lovely Jennifer Hale, the sandy-haired courtside reporter for the Hornets. In the photo above she is interviewing Hornets’ top-pick Anthony Davis. Last night, I so enjoyed watching the Hornets break the Denver Nuggets’ 15-game winning streak. The Bees scored the victory even without 1st-string play-makers Eric Gordan & Greivis Vasquez who are injured. Exciting game! I just had to put my two-cents in Re: Jennifer’s tweet. Between the action on the court and Jennifer’s fine interviews, I had a fun time. Now, the high-flying Los Angeles Clippers dare to come to the Big Easy on Wednesday. Can we do it? I’d love to see the Hornets come out with the same gravitas against the hot Clippers. I’ll buy my popcorn and drinks today to have them ready for the game. Geaux Hornets! Give the Clippers all that they can handle.

Twitter / ferdiewerdie: @JenHale504 >>What a fine, lovely TV personality. I am a fan. I hope that you are with the Pelicans again next season. What a satisfying …

@JenHale504 >>Yes that was a great victory for the #Hornets, stopping the Nuggets’ win streak like that! I’m looking forward to #Clippers and #Heat on Wed&Fri. Update: the Clippers chewed them up on Wednesday.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Even Brian Roberts (back-up point guard for Vasquez) couldn’t believe the performance he delivered to help end Denver’s 15-game win streak.

Fifteen Polynesian Virgins

Ferdie Werdie

Ferdie Werdie

Speaking of the lottery: if I had won $338 million, I would already be living on my new island that I bought for cash. The island’s name would be FERDINAND ISLAND; and I would already be living with the 15 new Polynesian virgins that I just bought. haha …In fact, come to think of it, I truly wrote a book about my island entitled  I HAVE A DREAM in which there would be no income tax, no insurance payments, no hateful Republicans. I would call my island the land of the free, the home of the brave. Those words I even quote from the last page of Chapter 1 of my book.

New Jersey lottery officials announced Monday that the winner of one of the largest Powerball drawings in history — $338 million — has yet to come forward

Pope Francis I

Pope Francis the 1st

Pope Francis the 1st

This afternoon, I awoke from a nap to the news that the Church has a new Pope. Minutes later, Francis I was introduced to the world; and I heard his 1st speech ..live. Historic moment! Note: Pope Francis’ parents are Italian; however, he was born in Argentina.

I posted a link to the video of his first speech as Pope:

New Pope Francis I Greets The World
http://www.thedailybeast.com
In the video, watch the new leader of the Catholic Church, Argentinian Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, step onto the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica and make his first remarks to the cheering masses in Vatican City.

I hope that ya’ll allow me the grace to express my humble opinion right here. Time might prove to change my feeling on this, but here’s what I think:

Both of Pope Francis’ parents were Italian. However, he was born in South America. So, in a way, they still chose an Italian as Pope. To me, it is somewhat of a smoke-screen because Pope Francis is still 100% European in blood. That’s OK with me; I’m just saying. — near New Orleans ·

  • Bryan C Gusman Bingo! Smoke-screen
  • Ferdie Werdie I am truly happy with the choice; I’m color-blind when it comes to the Pope. However, it insults my intelligence to hear them blasting all over the news that the Church just chose its 1st non-European Pope in the Modern Era. Pope Francis is 100% European in blood. His parents moved to South America before he was born, but both of them were Italian. HELLO-O-O-O!

The Lakers and Me

Ferdie@ferdiewerdie1 min

@Hornets >>The doggone #Lakers have plopped their butts in a seat to the #bigdance. Plenty games are left, but they sat their big butts at the #8th-Seed position for now. If these guys can hold onto a seat to the dance, I believe that they will be dangerous. Look how far they’ve come this year.

Why did I address this tweet to the Hornets? Because they have disappointed me very much this year. So, I might just become a Lakers fan for the rest of the year. What choice do I have? Also, I do not plan to wait around all off-season just to watch the Pelicans have another sub-par season next year. I do not trust Hornets/Pelicans coach Monty Williams with the family jewels. His decision-making has been very suspect this year. In my opinion he is a lousy son-of-a-beoyonggg.

Thus, I will begin cheering for the dang Lakers in order for me to maintain my sanity. What could be worst? Besides that, if the Pelicans hold onto coach Monty and have another lousy year next year, I believe that it will be years before the Pelicans become truly meaningful in the NBA. I am a N’Awlins boy, but I have to respect how the Lakers slid their tails into a party seat after how their season started off. Remember that both the Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets cut their losses early in the season and hired new coaches. Now, both teams are headed to the playoffs. hahaha >>to the New Orleans HorPelicants.

  • Ferdie Werdie >>Yes, Ashley. Hell must have frozen over because I think that I am jumping on the Lakers’ bandwagon. The way that they fought back to grab a seat to the dance is impressive. The Hornets are a sinking ship; so, I think that I will now scratch and shove my way aboard the Lakers’ bandwagon. 🙂

Kim Kardashian: Twice as Nice

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian

Kim looks stunning here. I think that pregnancy is very becoming on her. In the past, before her pregnancy and engagement to Kanye, I thought of Kim as a gold-digger. I was probably mistaken. However, I am the broken man that I am right now because historically gold-diggers have regularly tried to clean me out. That’s why I have so many handkerchiefs and kleenex lying around my house to this day from all the tears. haha ..Anyway, in this pic, I’d quickly throw Kim across my waterbed and slop some butter & syrup on her like she is the breakfast of champions. hahaha

P.S. I have not actually had a waterbed since the 1970’s. My point is clearer, however, if I say I’ll throw her on a waterbed :). The butter & syrup image is also more lovely on a waterbed; but I do not know if waterbeds are even made anymore.

Kim and Kanye, I extend my congratulations to you. Hopefully, Kim will get her divorce soon so that you guys can tie the knot. Here is a more recent picture of Kim out and about, several months now since she gave birth. She is a stunning mother.

Turn Ons for Women

Ferdie Werdie

Ferdie Werdie

LOL …hahaha. The WebMD article that I linked below says that one top thing that turns on a woman is for her man to wash the dishes. 🙂 I would not have been given the chance to create my daughters if that was the case. I would still be a virgin. It must have been something else that I was doing right. Of course, I have to wash dishes now out of necessity. The whole WebMD article is too funny. I must admit that the reason I’m probably washing my own dishes now is because I did not do enough of it for the gals when I was younger. Oh, of course you know that a woman probably wrote the WebMD piece ..to suggest such an outrageous thing. They are such sneaky little devils. haha

What Turns Women On: Surprising Things Women Like!

http://men.webmd.com/guide/what-turns-women-on?

Think you know what women really like? Surprise! It’s not the roses on Valentine’s Day, says WebMD. WebMD gets the facts on what really turns women on in the article.

Hahaha …That’s two things that I don’t think women have seen me do too much of in the past anyway. Roses on Valentine’s Day?? I do not even believe in Valentine’s day. If it came down to washing dishes or a bunch of Valentine roses to turn on a woman, I would be up a tall tree without a paddle. Too funny!

Also, I recently posted what Lincoln’s original plan was early in the war Re: newly captured or run-away slaves: Lincoln’s Plan

Oklahoma Thunder Buries Hornets

  • What is the worst margin of victory in the history of the NBA? I dunno’; but Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma Thunder towered over the New Orleans #Peli”cant’s” last night, beating them by 45 points. NOLA’s owner, Tom Benson, must have his head in the sand (or buried up his buttockal area). Thank God that I am not the Hornets’ owner b/c someone would absolutely be getting fired by now. I don’t get it.
What is the worst margin of victory in the history of the NBA? I dunno'; but the Thunder towered over the #Peli"cant's" last night, beating them by 45 points. NOLA's owner, Tom Benson, must have his head in the sand (or buried up his buttockal area). Thank God that I am not the Hornets' owner b/c someone would absolutely be getting fired by now. I don't get it.According to http://nba.com the largest margin of victory in a regular season contest is 68 points: on 12/17/91 when Cleveland defeated Miami 148-80.
Is NOLA management really and truly “tickled pink” with the status quo? Insanity is when you keep doing the same thing over-and-over the same way, and expecting a different outcome. Another big question that I have is: does NOLA management really think that they’ll be able to begin filling those empty seats at the Arena continuing with this current silliness? Come on guys!
The Pelicans are paying $50 million to their best player whom they are not even playing in back-to-back games. Eric Gordon is making a full-time salary for part-time action; for playing only in every other game. It’s not his fault; but if this continues on into next year, then the next, etc., the New Orlelans Pelicans will find themselves playing in an empty arena. Are they stupid? Is owner Tom Benson retarded?

My Oscar Picks Followup

Best Actress Oscar Winner Jennifer Lawrence

Best Actress Oscar Winner Jennifer Lawrence

Ferdie Werdie — I batted .600 with my 5 Oscar picks. I was correct with Best Original Song (Skyfall/Adele), Best Actress (Jennifer Lawrence) and Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis). Best Original Screenplay (Quentin Tarantino) satisfied my Django Unchained incorrect wish as best picture; and my Best Actor choice satisfied my Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) Best Director incorrect wish. So, I am happy.

2013 Oscars: My Picks

@FerdieWerdie — I have not seen all of the nominated movies; but here are a few of my picks for Sunday from what I know: Best Picture, Django Unchained (loved it); Best Actor, Day-Lewis; Best Actress, Jennifer Lawrence (so fine); Best Director, Lincoln (Steven Spielberg); Original Song, Skyfall (Adele Adkins).

Presently, I am in New Orleans cold, wet, aggravated and teed-off. Other than that, I am hungry and dejected. I guess I am upset about the way the Hornets/Pelicans lost such a close game in the last minute last night. Anyway, …I’ll get over it. haha
After Oscar night I plan to give my review of the show and what I thought about the winners and losers of the night. I know that there will be some surprises and disappointments once the smoke clears. Everyone has his/her opinion of who should get an Oscar. It will be interesting for me to study the list of winners and losers.
P.S. (Sunday Night) — I posted some of my post-Oscar thoughts at my follow-up post at http://wp.me/p1u4ud-aW in which I comment on the 3-out-of-5 correct picks that I made. In a way, I did not really expect Django Unchained to win Best Picture. Argo won, but I have not seen Argo yet. Django Unchained was an exciting movie experience for me because it was so entertaining. Plus, I thought that Steven Spielberg would win Best Director for Lincoln. I saw Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, but thought that Spielberg did a better job with Lincoln.
