Dalai Lama and Patience

Patience guards us against losing our presence of mind so we can remain undisturbed, even when the situation is really difficult.

This is the latest tweet from the Dalai Lama. Later on, I plan to write more on today’s thoughts. I intend to shortly go into a time of prayer and reflection for a bit. It is raining outside, but I need to do a little bit of work on my van. I pulled the console out to put in a new starter. Now, I have to reinstall the console which is in 1 million pieces. To anyone reading this, I ask you to pray that I can successfully finish the work on my car. I will lift you in prayer also. What I am saying seems mundane, but it probably takes two people to re-install my console. I cannot seem to do it alone. Thus, the stress. Note: see results of our prayers below (under P.S.).

I bring up the issue of my console because I am stressed out at the condition inside my van. If there is a strong intercessor out there reading this, I know that if our hearts and spirits come together right now in prayer that my console will be in place and installed in no time. Prayer and hard work is a successful mixture.

Also, I pray for good weather for Mother’s Day on Sunday. I know that we all want to show our mothers a happy day. The weather here is so wet and ugly today that I think that Sunday should bless our mothers with a lovely day.

P.S. (From later that night): One screw and one electrical connection ..that is all that I could not succeed at. I could not find where one wire connected to ..maybe, back wipers or compass or something. Did anyone pray for my success with the above console task. Yes, there is one screw and one electrical connection that I failed at. Other than that, thank you; my console is successfully in. Thank God!!
