I Am A Bettie Page Fan

I sent the below tweet to Bettie Page about her picture. Some experts claim that Bettie Page is the #1 pin-up girl of ALL time. With all of the nasty weather presently across the country, Bettie is a reminder of what is to come after winter.

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — I am awake, and going peep outside to see if there is any snow. UPDATE: Not yet; but all schools, most jobs and street cars are shut down in the Big Easy. My guess is for some snow tonight or tomorrow morning.

The mayor is warning everyone to stay off the roads as much as possible. Street cars have been shut down in the city because of the weather.

In entertainment news, I have been discovering more-and-more that Nicole Kidman is an absolutely wonderful actress. Plus, her selection of roles has been magnificant.

Exoplanets With Life

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — I had never heard of the word exoplanet until Sunday, December 8, 2013. The exact definition is at the link above; but, basically, it is a planet which revolves around a star other than our sun. The Hubble Telescope has discovered exoplanets with water. It is so amazing to me that planets exist in other solar systems which have life forms. Scientists say that these newly discovered exoplanets circle too closely to their sun to maintain life. I am not a scientist, but doesn’t water contain life? Doesn’t water contain millions of micro-organisms? This makes me think that there has to be a greater power other than us who controls all of this. If water exists hundreds of light-years and trillions of miles away on other planets, I do not think from deep within my spirit that it is all just happenstance. I thank the good Lord that I discovered this information today; and that it seems to reveal to me addition, precious, spiritual gems of knowledge that increase my faith.

Hubble Spots Hazy Worlds With Watery Atmospheres

Five exoplanets discovered with water in their atmosphere.

Here is a picture of another “planet” (or what-you-may-call-her) that I would truly like to search and discover :). I could not help myself. I just had to compliment this lovely of lovelies. This is a picture of actress Christina Milian. I’m only being light-hearted here for a moment. I enjoy the pictures and posts that Christina puts up.

Back to exoplanets, the Hubble Space Telescope has also discovered another distant alien planet which has Astronomers totally puzzled because according to all understood theories of planetary formation this planet should not even exist. Contrary to all theories of planetary formation, this planet orbits its Sun-like star improbably and non-theoretically at 650 times the distance that the Earth circles our Sun. This system lies 300 light-years away in the southern constellation of Crux.

Something else that I do understand and know a little bit about are my picks for today’s games. I will not expose my picks here; however, I list the choices that I have. I made my picks for my personal pleasure. I just wish that I knew how to put down a few dollars per the Internet on my picks. I am talking small change in order to make the games fun. I am not knowledgable enough or advanced enough to know how to do such on the Internet. I have searched, but to no avail. The only sites that I have found allow only wagers of larger sums. I just want to make today’s games fun by having them count for a little something.

RightWing Christians & Mankind’s Age

OKALOOSA (Gazette) — Now I am hearing from scientists that the oldest human DNA found is 400,000 years old. I thought that I have always been taught that humans are millions of years old. This latest finding is closer to what right-wing fundamentalist Christians have been saying all along about man only being here for thousands of years, not millions.

https://twitter.com/AlanColmes/status/408316831993057281

The New York Times also reported on this historic finding. The scientific team which made the discovery used new methods to extract the ancient DNA from the fossil. David Reich, a geneticist at Harvard Medical School who was not involved in the research, said, “That’s an amazing, game-changing thing.”

Plus, in recent tragic news, here are two sentiments from the very lips of Paul Walker that make one stop and think. The world is still reeling over Walker’s tragic death; however, hearing his words here puts a human touch on Walker’s death and life.

Here below, Paul Walker’s words are chillingly prophetic about his end.

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — Paul Walker fans from around the world have been pouring out their condolences ever since the accident happened. The list includes many, many fans who loved and admired him.

#HappyThanksgiving!

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — Here in above picture I was performing my daily praises. There is Power in #Praise. Yes! The last few days, the power in the moments during my praise and singing sessions was great. Look at King David’s history. He took down Goliath!! I am being likewise blessed b/c of my daily songs.

    Happy Thanksgiving! Thank the Lord!

There is Power in our Praises! I thank my Lord, Abba, every day on my piano or guitar. So did King David with his harp! His songs became known as the Psalms. Yes, the Book of Psalms.

#CatchingFire Is Number One

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — I was in that number this weekend at the #HungerGames opening weekend. It seems like I had waited too long for Part II of the trilogy to come to the big screen. Yes, it was the Number One movie of the weekend. I had a great, fun time at the screening. I highly recommend that you choose the IMAX version of the movie because the sound effects in the IMAX EXPERIENCE are so great.

Last year, after I found out that my brother had read the Hunger Games trilogy it immediately inspired me to buy Book I on my Kindle Fire. What a thrill ride the book is! I subsequently bought Book 2 for my Kindle also, and could not believe what an intriguing journey the author took me on. It is a roller coaster ride. Great! For the last installment, I ordered the hard copy. I just had to have the actual book in my hands. It left me so impressed that I looked up online for when the next installment of the movie was coming out. A LONG WAIT! Thus, a very happy culmination and experience THIS WEEKEND came to fruition. I had as much fun as I could have at a movie. I felt like I knew the characters’ emotions and pain so intimately that I welled-up in several scenes; but only at the end did a tear actually start rolling down my cheek. I do not think that anyone noticed it because I acted like I was wiping my glasses off. Yes, in my opinion Catching Fire the movie is just as exciting as the book. Great!!

In other news, I am surprised to hear that France is sending troops to Central African Republic where al-Qaida-linked Muslims are attacking Christian villages. These Muslim attacks are threatening genocide in a country which is in the heartland of the continent. This news of Christians being attacked like this, in my opinion, is bible-prophetic because the scriptures prophecy such Christian persecution in the end times. I plan to follow this story in depth.

#Painting Sells For Most Ever

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — In the world of art, reports have recently revealed that the Arabian state of #Qatar secretly purchased a Paul Cézanne painting, The Card Players, for more than #$250million. “The deal, in a single stroke, sets the highest price ever paid for a work of art and upends the modern art market,” said Vanity Fair. This sale more than doubles the previous record paid for a work of art. A French artist, Cezanne (1839-1906), was a Post-Impressionist painter.

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — Below is a painting in the developmental stage being created by my sister, #Peggy, which she is posting as she goes. I thought that it might be interesting for some of my readers to also see it as it develops. For some time now, I have been planning to buy an easel also for me, myself and I.

Here is what Peggy said recently:

By the way, on my way home just now I almost stopped at one of my favorite stops for that good ol’, N’Awlins home-style eating; but I opted for a place closer along my route. Also, I am somewhat on the Master Cleanse fast for a while. So, I thought that all the bread and meat that I usually eat at Parkway should wait for another day.

Israel Does Not Want Peace

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — The whole world is recently now trying to work out peace with Iran, and with the Middle East in general. Well, it seems the whole world is making this effort at peace except Israel. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. You have to truly call it like it is when the whole Western Hemisphere is working theirs buns off to finally reach some kind of peace with Iran, but there is one spoiled brat who wants no part of peace. Let’s work this thing out before it is too late.

Also, some people believe that Israel poisoned former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to death in November, 2004. Arafat’s widow issued a plea for justice Thursday after scientists concluded the former Palestinian leader was likely deliberately poisoned by the radioactive substance polonium-210.

However, experts do not think anyone else but Israel poisoned Arafat.

Fun time in the NFL:
Is there no where on the Internet that a playa can enjoy picking his favorite teams? I think that you can make some picks way out in Las Vegas. However, it seems like it would be fun on the Internet for small timers. All I’ve found are sites where you can only do big money. Isn’t there somewhere where small frye can put up a few peanuts? 🙂

Jumper Cables For The Mind

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — I truly had an emotional jolt recently when the New Orleans Saints lost which kicked my gray matter into another gear. That may or may not be exactly like the Jumper-Cables-type jolt talked about by scientists below.

I plan to study this phenomenon as soon as I finish watching the New Orleans Saints game. WHO DAT!!! Everyone needs a jolt to the cerebral matter once in a while! I had a jolt to my brain several weeks ago when the referees cheated the Saints out of the victory against the mucho hated New England Patriots. I cannot remember crying over that loss, but I had to use my brain in every way that I could in order to dig myself out of that rut.

Speaking of the brain, are there signs that can forewarn us of impending Alzheimer’s risks to ourselves or our loved one?

Happy Halloween!

NEW ORLEANS (Gazette) — Yes! What a lovely Halloween greeting this is. Marilyn makes such a sexy pumpkin. Also, in other news, some folks’ long-suffering wishes may soon be answered in Washington D.C. In fact, many people across the country might consider the below news very welcome to the ears. It sure would keep thousands of individuals from crowding U.S. jails for such minor offenses. Jails are already overcrowded with real criminals.
